Metallics are here to stay, and the benefits of adding metallic accents to everything from fashion to home design are multifaceted. Metals play well with other metals, from tones of black, silver, and gunmetal to brass, copper, rose gold, and bronze. Against your decor, whether light and bright, warm, or cool, metals can add reflective charm. And metallics lend an oh-so-subtle shimmer of effervescence to any room.

Inspired by the luxurious look of metallics, Toll Brothers recently installed Metal Elements hardwood flooring in Pewter throughout the Hudson model home at the Estates at Bamm Hollow community in Lincroft, NJ—and the results are illuminating.

Grand staircase with curve and hard wood floors
Metal Elements makes a sweeping statement in the Toll foyer against the curvature of the grand staircase.

The Metal Elements line from Anderson Tuftex, part of the Shaw Floors family tree, is designed with intention and crafted with care. The luminous glint in each plank comes from metallic powders infused into the stain treatment, similar to those used in the automobile industry. What results is an iridescent floor that catches the light and subtly glows from every angle.

The white oak comes in a wide 8” plank that’s painted and then wire brushed for texture. It’s subdued and brilliant, like a glimmer of light on the water. In the Hudson model, the white oak is finished in a pewter coloration, creating a beautiful juxtaposition that’s bold enough to grab your attention yet easy on the eyes.

The hardwood complements the contrasting kitchen cabinets and island beautifully.

Metal Elements hardwood is pure magic in the Hudson model and would be a stunning addition to any home’s design scheme.

“There is a lot of excitement generated around this hardwood. Its style and intrigue captures interest from many of our home buyers,” says Toll Brothers Design Studio manager, Leslie Piccolo. “We are thrilled to be able to showcase this cutting-edge element in one of our most desired model homes. The ‘metal’ in Metal Elements is innovative, creative, and luxurious…a perfect fit for America’s Luxury Home Builder!”

Locals can see the beauty of Metal Elements in the Hudson model home for themselves. Not local? You can incorporate this exceptional hardwood into your next Toll Brothers home. Just talk to your design consultant.
