  • Make the most of your experience by attending a Design Studio Orientation, gathering inspiration, touring model homes, completing the Toll Brothers Style Survey, and utilizing visualization tools.
  • The Toll Brothers Style Consultation will help you determine your overall design preferences, lifestyle goals, and investment expectations.
  • Design Studio selections follow a structured sequence designed to simplify decisions and create a cohesive home design, beginning in the kitchen.

Step 1: Get Excited (and Prepared) for Your Toll Brothers Design Studio Experience

Your Toll Brothers Design Studio experience begins shortly after you sign your Sales Agreement. Within a few days, you’ll receive your personalized appointment schedule along with access to digital tools that will help you clarify your design style and priorities before making selections.

1. Attend a Design Studio Orientation

Open to all home shoppers, the Design Studio Orientation is either an in person or virtual informational group session that introduces you to your local Design Studio process before your formal design appointments begin.  They are hosted by your local team and include:

  • The overall Design Studio timeline
  • What to expect during each appointment
  • How to prepare for selections
  • An overview of available tools and resources

This session ensures you understand the process, deadlines, and next steps before design decisions are made.

2. Gather Your Design Inspiration

Bringing design inspiration helps your Design Studio Consultant understand your aesthetic preferences and translate them into cohesive selections.

Start collecting visuals and materials that speak to your taste. Save photos of kitchens you love, explore our social media and website, browse our Pinterest or mood boards, tear out magazine pages, or gather fabric swatches and paint colors. Even small details, such as tile patterns, cabinet finishes, or lighting fixtures, can clarify your preferences.

These references provide valuable direction and ensure your selections feel intentional and aligned.

3. Tour Toll Brothers Model Homes

Touring professionally decorated Toll Brothers model homes allows you to experience design options in real spaces before making selections.

Walk through. Open cabinets. Notice how lighting affects the space’s mood. Observe how features interact with architecture. Seeing finishes installed at scale often sparks ideas and helps you identify what feels right for your home.

Model home visits bridge inspiration and functionality, giving you confidence before your appointment. Get started with this comprehensive guide of our newest model homes nationwide.

4. Take the Toll Brothers Style Survey

The Toll Brothers Style Survey is a guided questionnaire designed to uncover your design preferences and streamline your personalization experience. Once your appointments have been scheduled, you’ll receive access to the Toll Brothers Style Survey where you will answer curated questions that help identify your preferences for cabinetry, countertops, flooring, and overall aesthetic direction.

Smart Home Technology is also integral to your design process, ensuring your home functions as beautifully as it looks. Before you meet with your Design Studio Consultant, you’ll also complete a Smart Home Technology Survey to explore options such as security, connectivity, automation, and integrated systems.

It’s important that your Style Survey and Smart Home Technology responses are completed together with anyone involved in the decision-making process for your home design. Your Design Studio Consultant will use your responses to prepare for your first appointment and curate tailored options and recommendations that are aligned with your style.

This digital tool helps transform your vision into represntative concepts. Before your appointments, browse cabinetry, flooring, tile, and countertop combinations within a virtual setting, and save your favorite combinations. Your Design Studio Consultant will reference these selections when preparing materials for your appointments.

By leveraging this interactive tool, you will gain a deeper understanding of the potential style options and combinations that most appeal to you and ensure your time spent in the Design Studio is tailored to your vision.

Step 2: Your Toll Brothers Style Consultation

Your first Toll Brothers Design Studio appointment – the Style Consultation – is a virtual meeting designed to establish direction and prepare you for your in-studio appointments.

During this virtual session, you’ll meet one-on-one with your Design Studio Consultant to align on style preferences, lifestyle goals, and overall investment expectations. In advance of the appointment, your Design Studio Consultant will review your completed Smart Home Technology responses, Style Survey results, and any saved Visualizer scenes to thoughtfully prepare for your consultation.

Together you will:

  • Discuss your overall design vision
  • Review included features and available personalization options
  • Explore Smart Home Technology solutions tailored to your home needs
  • Confirm the structure and timing of upcoming in-studio appointments

This appointment provides clarity and momentum. By the end of the consultation, you won’t just have inspiration, you’ll have a defined direction, actionable next steps, and in many cases, initial decisions already in place.

Step 3: Make Your Selections at the Toll Brothers Design Studio

After your Style Consultation, your in-studio appointments are where your vision begins to take tangible shape.

Whether your selections are completed in one visit or a few appointments (depending on the size, complexity, and construction stage of your home), the process follows a thoughtfully structured flow designed to build your home from the ground up.

You’ll begin with foundational spaces, such as the kitchen, primary bath, and flooring for main living areas. These selections establish the core materials and design direction that influence the rest of the home. From there, you’ll finalize interior details, home technology, wellness features,  lighting, fireplace features (if applicable), and any remaining components. This sequencing ensures continuity and cohesion throughout your home.

At each step, your Design Studio Consultant presents curated options, guides comparisons, and helps you make confident decisions aligned with your vision, lifestyle, and construction timeline, transforming inspiration into a fully personalized home.

The square footage of the Dickson design, is of Interest compared to the others since the home is only for me, and the square footage is more along the lines of what I was looking for. I can’t expand the floor plan to see anything more than essentially a thumbnail. Can you send me what that design looks like? Both exterior and interior?

    Hello,

I’m hoping you can help me. We just purchased a beautiful Toll Brothers (home in Ironwood at the Cliffs in Las Vegas, Nevada. The home was built in 2018. The flooring in the main living areas is a ceramic tile that looks like wood. We desperately want to carry that same theme/flooring into the bedrooms, which are currently carpeted. Would you be able us identify the flooring products (brand, etc.) that Toll Brothers was using at that time. It would be great if we could purchase directly from Toll Brothers but I don’ know if that’s possible.
Thank you so very much – Donna

We have a home in Charlotte, the enclave at providence in the magnolia plan. There are several damaged wooden boards in the hardwood that are a pre-finished hickory. Where can we get replacement boards so that we don’t have to refinish the entire floor which is in generally good condition. Any info on manufacturer/color etc would be critical in saving thousands of dollars to refinish the flooring

Hi, Gail. While we cannot guarantee any of these are the flooring you’re searching for, our records indicate that the options offered for Bowes Creek at that specific design studio during that time period were as follows:

      – Weathered Barnboard
      – Whispering Wood
      – Washed Oak
      – Burmese Teak
      – Deep Mahogany

The above flooring options were a part of the Shaw – Presto Plus collection. We encourage you to contact Shaw Floors directly for more information. We hope this helps answer your question, and please let us know if there’s anything else we can assist you with in the meantime. Thanks!

We’re building a new home in Travisso, Leander, TX (Florence) and would like to understand what kind of cabinets come with the house and what kind of upgrades are available? I know the manufacturer (Kent Moore) but that doesn’t help as there are 2 kinds of cabinets they make — builder grade with particleboard and another with plywood. How can I find out which one does Toll brothers use?

    • Toll Brothers's avatar

      Toll Brothers

Hi, Rishi. The cabinets offered at the Design Studio are available in both construction methods. If you would like to move forward with a full plywood cabinet, they are available. We hope this helps answer your question. Thanks!

I’m a Toll Bros. homeowner in the Alta community in Palm Springs, CA. I have the Capri model built in 2012, and am trying to replace and match cabinets and carpet. Can you point me in the right direction regarding the original vendors/manufacturers of those items used in designing Alta? Thanks!

    • Toll Brothers's avatar

      Toll Brothers

Hi, Denis. Given that this model is over 10 years old, we no longer have the ability to find the information regarding the exact cabinetry and carpet used in your home. However, we can try our best to assist you in finding the correct vendors. For your carpet, we believe Shaw Floors is the original manufacturer. We cannot recommend possible cabinetry leads at this time since there are a vast number of potential manufacturers. We encourage you to contact our Irvine Design Studio at 949-269-3352. They may be able to further point you in the right direction. Thanks!
